You will be joining a vibrant government council in a newly-created role as part of the in-house legal advisory team, reporting to the General Counsel (with accessibility to the CEO).
The role has a large portfolio of contract management and the drafting of tender submissions. It also delves into the world of property and leasing, with a strong focus on compliance and the legal requirements in civil prosecutions.
Applicants wishing to step out of private practice with a solid grasp of contract law, commerciality and compliance in business dealings, are strongly encouraged to apply.
About You
We welcome expressions of interest from applicants with the following skill set:
- 2-5+ Years PAE across contract law, property law, commercial drafting and compliance (with exposure to government clients being desirable, but not essential).
- You will be eligible to work and to practice law in Australia.
- Strong research, technical drafting and advisory skills.
- Demonstrated ability to form enduring relationships with peers, clients and industry experts.
- Resilience and a commitment to provide exceptional levels of service to a local community and service providers.
- Able to work autonomously whilst having a collaborative attitude in team environments.
